Conservation Club

Join us for our August conservation club, where we’ll be taking a look at the fen creation area at Nosterfield Quarry. We’ll be planting out Tufted Sege and Purple Loosestrife, grown by LUCT volunteers on site in the wetland plant nursery, into sandbag planters. The sandbag planters will then in a few weeks time be planted out into Flasks Lake.

Conservation club is a bi-monthly volunteering opportunity for young people aged 6-18. Each month offers a different activity which enables young people to help out and learn more about the reserve, its habitats and wildlife. Young people aged 6-14 years need to be accompanied by a parent or carer, young people aged 14-18 are able to attend the session without a parent/carer if they wish.
