Help us to Celebrate 30 Years of LUCT
Nosterfield Nature Reserve David Saunders
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Lower Ure Conservation Trust, and we would love to have your help in celebrating this special milestone.
We're planning an exhibition of photographs and personal reflections that capture what the reserve has meant to people over the past three decades. Whether you have visited once, volunteered for many years or have watched the reserve evolve over time, we would love to hear from you and would welcome responses from people of all ages.

Photography
Please send us up to five of your favourite photographs taken at the reserve*. Subjects could include:
Landscape scenes
Plants, fungi or wildlife
Volunteering with LUCT
Artwork inspired by the reserve
Photographs showing how the reserve has changed over time
If possible, please include:
when the photograph was taken (or an approximate date)
a brief description of what it shows
why it is special or memorable to you
We would love to include your comments alongside your images in the exhibition.
*If we receive a large number of submissions, we may need to select a smaller number of images for the exhibition to ensure we can showcase contributions from as many people as possible.
Reflections and Recollections
We would also love to hear what the reserve means to you. Whether you've been visiting for years, you volunteer with us or if you have recently discovered it, your memories and experiences are part of the reserve's story.
You might like to tell us about:
a particularly memorable visit
how you've seen the reserve change over time
a favourite wildlife encounter
your experiences of volunteering or working with LUCT
why the reserve is important to you
We would love to receive your memories and reflections in writing or as a short video. Written contributions can be any length, although around 50–200 words would be ideal. You can send videos by email, or if you'd prefer, we would be happy to record your reflections for you.
Exhibition
The exhibition will be launched during our 30th anniversary celebration weekend in June 2027, after which it will tour a number of local venues. We'll share updates on our website and social media channels.
How to Contribute
Please send your photographs, videos and/or written reflections to amy.horton@luct.org.uk by 30 November, 2026.
Please send photographs as high-resolution JPEG files. Please avoid resizing or compressing your images before sending them- the original image files from your camera or phone wherever possible would be best. If your files are too large to email (over about 20 MB in total), please get in touch (amy.horton@luct.org.uk) and we can arrange an alternative way for you to send them.
By submitting your contribution, you are giving the Lower Ure Conservation Trust permission to display it as part of the exhibition and to use it in publicity relating to the exhibition. Copyright remains with the creator.
If you would prefer your photographs or written reflections to be displayed anonymously, please let us know when you submit them. Otherwise, we'll include your name alongside your contribution.
