Dawn Chorus Walk

Come and enjoy the wonders of the dawn chorus with us at Nosterfield Quarry on International Dawn Chorus Day!

Our expert guide will help you to identify a range of birds from their calls and songs as we explore the woodland around Kiln Lake.

The walk around Kiln Lake is around 1.5 miles. Paths are relatively flat, with a slight incline at either end of the causeway.

What you will need:

Please wear sturdy footwear and dress warmly/ bring waterproof clothing if rain is forecast*

Refreshments will be provided after the walk

Please bring binoculars, if you have them!

Meet at the Well Wetlands Plant Nursery at 5am. What3Words: snowy.padlock.resources

Parking:

You can find parking at Nosterfield Quarry car park, Flask Lane (please allow 10 minutes to walk from the car park to the start point)

To find Nosterfield Quarry car park, turn right off the B6267, just before you enter the village of Nosterfield as you head in the direction of Masham. It has a stone 'Nosterfield Quarry' sign marking the turning. It is then an immediate left turn into the car park.
