Community Work Day: Building dead hedges and log piles in the woodland at Nosterfield Quarry!

Community work day volunteers clearing coppiced wood

For the next community work day we will be clearing up after recent felling work in the woodland around Nosterfield Quarry. The brash and logs will be used to create dead hedges & log piles which will create homes for invertebrates, small mammals, birds and reptiles. The work in the woodland has been carried out to open up densely planted areas and create to glades.
